CX Debate - 2007-2008
Oakwood
High School has qualified two students for the 2007-08 University
Interscholastic League State Cross-Examination Meet to be held March 10-15
at the University of Texas at Austin.
Paige Eldridge and Dustin Hamill qualified for the state meet by placing second at the UIL Cross-Examination District Meet, held February 4th in Mexia. "UIL debate competition develops skills in our students that directly prepare them for real world situations by challenging their problem-solving and critical thinking abilities," said Jana Riggins, UIL Debate Director. This year's cross-examination debate topic required students to research Africa extensively. Good luck to the debate team! 2006-2007 One Act Play
