Job Description: Bus Driver-Transportation (Substitute)

Qualifications:

Must be a school graduate or hold a GED certificate

Valid Texas Class B Driver’s License with P&S Endorsement

Must be at least 20 years of age

Other requirements identified by supervision as necessary for high proficiency in this profession

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

Shall maintain student discipline while on bus

Shall follow all policies and procedures as designated by state and/or district regarding bus operation and school employment

Shall be responsible for safe operation and preventive maintenance of the vehicle

Shall be responsible for passenger safety to the extent designated by local and state policy or law

Shall maintain records and information for state and local reports

Shall perform other duties as assigned or as judgment or necessity dictates

Term of Service:

180 days

Primary Location: Transportation/Maintenance

Salary Information: District Salary Schedule for Routes
