Oakwood ISD Parents, Students, and Community,
Next week's weather reports does not look great. It is very unusual for us to get temperatures down into the single digits, especially coupled with the snow and ice that is predicted for early next week. In anticipation of these events and in an effort to allow parents and student to make the necessary arrangements, we have decided to make the following weather related decisions:
Thursday, February 11 - Normal school operations. Junior High basketball games have been cancelled.
Friday, February 12 - Normal school operations, but we will continue to monitor if the conditions change.
Monday, February 15 - School Holiday - Presidents Day - No school (The low temperature is expected to be 7 degrees!)
Tuesday, February 16 - Remote Learning Only - Tuesday will be a remote learning day. No teachers or students will be on campus and students will be expected to complete their work online. Students must check in with their teachers and complete their assignments for this day. Any students needing a device to access online learning will be issued one today or tomorrow through their teacher or the campus secretary.
Wednesday, February 17 - Decision will be announced on Tuesday afternoon via the Oakwood App, Facebook page, website, and twitter account. We anticipate to resume normal school activities.
