Oakwood Family,
As we gear up for another school year, we are still living in the shadow of Covid and it's effects. Last week, the staff reported back to work and we had an outstanding three days of professional development and training. Unfortunately, over the weekend, we had two staff members test positive for Covid. Since all of the staff were in the same training, we are carefully monitoring the situation and have made testing available for all staff members.
In the event that we find out that multiple additional staff members have tested positive for Covid in the next two days, we may have to make some modifications to the school calendar and the start of the school year. We are also scheduled for the Meet the Teacher night on Tuesday evening. Depending on how testing goes, we may have to postpone that event as well.
As always, the safety of our students and staff is our top priority and we will make decisions to help mitigate any additional spread once we have all of the information. Please stay tuned to our webpage and social media for additional updates. Thank you.
