The Oakwood ISD Track and Field project has finally started construction after months of design work and going through a rather lengthy bid process. Estimated time to completion on the football field and track is late August / early September. The Field house project is looking like an October finish at the present time.

New lights, new electrical, new lighting control panels, refinished stage, new flooring, new ceiling, new sound equipment, new microphones, new sound booth, refurbished seating. Thank you community for supporting OISD with the passing of the Bond!

The Ag building renovation is expected to take pace this summer. The renovation is to expected to replace all exterior metal on the building, address drainage issues, enclose the back covered awning area, and construct a new awning in between the little gym and the Ag building. We are looking forward to the added space for our Ag students!

The technology through the District has been updated. We have upgraded our failing servers, replaced the network switches, replaced our wireless infrastructure including all access points, expanded access, installed all Promethean interactive panels, replaced outdated chromebooks and laptops with updated devices. There are still a few minor items on our technology to do list, mostly related to waiting for specific parts and pieces that have been on backorder. Overall, our technology is in great shape thanks to our community support!
