The Texas Education Agency and the Governor's office recently released guidance regarding graduation ceremonies for Texas schools. Several of these new requirements have caused Oakwood ISD to alter our graduation plans. One such change is that graduation ceremonies are not permitted to be conducted indoors, which will require us to have our graduation on the football field. Another stipulation is that all graduations must take place on or after May 29, which changes our timeline as well.
So here is the most up to date information, which is definitely subject to change as additional guidance comes out:

Oakwood ISD Football Stadium
Students will be given a limited number of tickets to this event. Only those with tickets will be permitted to enter the facilities. All social distancing guideline will be followed, with restrictions on seating arrangements, spacing and seating groups as allowed under the Governor's orders. Additional information will be sent home to each of the seniors as it becomes available.
