
All Jr./High school students please remember to check your school emails at least twice a day as that is one way that your teachers will be contacting you.

Parents can come by the Oakwood ISD cafeteria on Tuesday to pick up the instructional materials that the teachers have prepared. Pickup will be in from 7:30 am until 9:00 am. If you need help picking up the material, please email Jennifer Ostlund

TEA Waives STAAR Testing Requirements
On Monday, March 16, Gov. Greg Abbott announced that he has waived the STAAR testing requirements for the 2019-20 school year.


Panther Parents: Our first priority is to provide a safe, and healthy learning environment for our students. Due to our temporary shutdown, we must provide an alternative way for our students to learn. Teachers are preparing Learning Packets that can be picked up by parents on Tuesday, March 17, 2020 from 7:30 am- 9:00 am. These packets can be picked up from the cafeteria and returned on Monday, March 23, 2020.

Oakwood ISD Food Services will be providing free breakfast and lunch during the school closing. Breakfast will be available from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and lunch will be available from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm to all Oakwood ISD students March 16th through March 20th. Meals will be packaged "to go" and will be available at the cafeteria. Please share this information to make sure that any student that needs a school meal receives one. If transportation is an issue, we are making a very limited delivery available. Please email Oakwood Secretary Jennifer Ostlund (jostlund@oakwoodisd.net) with your name, address, the student’s name and grade. We appreciate your patience and support as we try to take care of all of our kids.


Oakwood ISD will shut down all baseball, tennis, golf, and track practices until at least March 23. At that time we will resume back to school and will proceed with the normal practice schedule like any other school week. We will continue to abide by the UIL's decision, and will get communication about making up the games we will miss during this time out to you as soon as we get further word and a chance to meet about scheduling. School Closing Alert!
Out an abundance of caution due to the Covid-19 virus outbreak, Oakwood ISD will remain closed next week. Presently, classes are scheduled to resume on Monday, March 23. Please see the Oakwood ISD website for additional information.

All UIL activities have been suspended.


As Spring Break is upon us, this is just a reminder that there will not be any Oakwood ISD sporting events this week. Oakwood student athletes enjoy your break with family and friends and be ready to come back and get to work next Monday. Let’s Go!!! PFND!!!
