Varsity Basketball Update!
The previously scheduled game on 11/28 against Little Centerville will now be played at Centerville Groveton due to court maintenance on our home court. Girls will tip at 5pm and the Boys game will follow. Thank you for understanding and the continued support of Lady Panther & Panther Athletics. 💙💛🏀

The third and fourth grades combined to make Pumpkin Pie in a bag. Each student made his/her own pumpkin pie. They made predictions about the ingredients and amounts of each before beginning. They measured each ingredient and used their senses to describe the process of making their pie. After eating their pumpkin pies, each student illustrated the experiment and wrote a story about their experience.
Congratulations again to the 3/4 Grade for winning the canned food drive! Thank you Dominoes for the yummy Pizza!

Another reminder that 2nd and 3rd grade will have a regular class day on Thursday. They will not be traveling to Coolidge for UIL. They will compete at OISD at a later time. Notes will go home with more info today.
Parents of 2nd & 3rd Graders who signed up for UIL: We have made the decision for 2nd & 3rd grade UIL competition to be held here at Oakwood ISD. They will not be traveling to Coolidge on Thursday. We will send a letter home tomorrow (Tuesday) with more information. Thanks.
JH Basketball Game Update!!!
With the Panther Football team advancing to the second round of the playoffs, and playing on Thursday Nov 16th, we are going to move the JH basketball game to another date later TBD. TPW!!! 🏈🏀

The Lady Panthers fought and played an amazing game, however they fell short of victory tonight! They finished the season as Regional Semi-Finalist! This is quite a achievement as the Lady Panthers have not been in the regional tournament since 1999!! We are so proud of these girls and amazed by their hard work, diligence, and resilience this season! It's STILL a great time to be a Panther!! Way to go ladies!! 💛💙🏐💛💙
At the beginning of this season, these ladies expressed a desire to take their program to the next level! I am so proud to say they did just that! They lead with understanding, grace, and above all by example! They pushed themselves and their team on and off the court, showing determination, passion, and tenacity! We couldn't be more proud of our seniors and we cannot wait to see the amazing things they do in the future! The Lady Panther Volleyball program will miss you greatly!!
