This particular week honoring school counselors provides recognition for school counselors who “implement comprehensive school counseling programs, a vital part of the educational process for all students as they meet the challenges of the 21st century.

The Dehart Mobile Veterinary unit will be here on Thursday February 24th hosted by the Oakwood Veterinary science program. To schedule a surgery for that day please call the following number (903) 590-7722. Wellness visits and shots will be conducted from 10:00 to 3:00 with no appointment necessary. Congratulations to all of our Oakwood students who participated in the Shelby Swinnea livestock show in Palestine! We walked away with numerous class winners and the Grand Champion overall lamb shown by Emma Neal!
Due to below freezing temps and continued hazardous driving conditions, Oakwood ISD will be closed on Friday, February 4th. Classes will resume on Monday with a regular school day, so all students need to report to school on Monday.

Weather Alert!
Out an abundance of caution, Oakwood ISD will be closed tomorrow (2/3/22) due to forecast hazardous road conditions and inclement weather. We will make a decision regarding school on Friday sometime tomorrow afternoon.
Please be advised that we will have a regular school day on Monday, February 7. (Not a Flex Monday) All students will need to come to school on Monday.
