The Oakwood ISD Board meeting for tonight has been canceled and moved to next Monday night, March 7.
Oakwood FFA and cheerleaders will be hosting a fish fry on Saturday March 5th. We will be stationed in front of the Rusty Cactus!

Oakwood ISD will be open at the normal time today, Feb 24.
After driving the roads for several hours this morning, the roads seem drivable. Please be safe and leave a little early and drive slowly. Bridges and overpasses seem to be the most dangerous area. The Trinity River bridge is open and was driven over several times with no issue. Please be safe in this area as there were reports late last night of ice on the bridge.
WEATHER UPDATE - 2/23/22
As the winter weather moves through once again, we will be keeping a close eye on the road conditions. I plan on being up early and will drive the roads around 6 am. The forecast shows the temperature is expected to be above freezing by this time. Please check our website and social media for an update tomorrow morning around 6:30 am. We had four Oakwood FFA members represent us at the State Capitol for the Texas FFA Legislative LEAD conference. Students were able to get more information on our government system and the importance of agriculture in our State!

The Dehart Mobile Veterinary unit will be here on Thursday February 24th hosted by the Oakwood Veterinary science program.
