Oakwood would like to welcome Makenzie Hudson to our staff. Makenzie graduated from Neches High School and earned a Marine Biology degree from Texas A&M University Galveston, where she was a Terry Scholar and on the Dean’s List. Her academic pursuits were complimented by her athletic involvement and numerous leadership roles throughout college. In high school, Makenzie was a multi-sport athlete which instilled in her the values of perseverance, teamwork, and dedication. Makenzie's athletic achievements include basketball (newcomer of the year), East Texas Player of the week and TGCA All-State. She played on the 2018 Neches State Champion Volleyball Team, and was All-Region and All- State volleyball player. Beyond her academic and athletic achievements, Makenzie's life is deeply rooted in her love for family and her faith in God. She is eager to share her passion with students and aim to create a nurturing and inspiring environment where her students can grow both academically and personally in the classroom and on the court.
