Today, Oakwood Panthers' Athletic Director, Coach J.J. Johnson and Coach Jayson Johnson proudly represented their team at the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) event at Big Cedar Golf Course in Fairfield, Texas. Joined by BSN representative, Cameron Sellstrom and Groesbeck Athletic Director, Coach Jerry Bomar, they showcased exceptional sportsmanship and camaraderie. Despite the bone-chilling cold, spirits were high, and everyone had a fantastic time!

Your Oakwood Panthers are ending the week strong in the attendance wars!
Despite a slight dip from their perfect scores this week, our 8th graders are still holding strong at the top spot with an impressive 98.61%.
Hold on to your seats because the competition is heating up between the 9th graders and the 7th graders. While the 9th graders were not looking, the 7th graders slipped past them into the 2nd spot with a promising score of 98.44%. This pushes the 9th graders to a distant 3rd place with a score of 98.08%!
The question on everyone's mind is.......Can the 9th graders gather themselves enough to mount a comeback and overtake the top spot from the 8th graders by the end of next week? Stay tuned as the ATTENDANCE battle wages on!!!!

Senior night was a great success. The Oakwood Lady Panthers & Panthers got big wins. These awesome student athletes were recognized for their hard work. We were also able to honor the 2019 State Semifinalist basketball team that took us to San Antonio!!!

While there was no immediate threat to our school and students, we felt that taking this extra step was prudent given the information we had at the time.
